Margin

An amount of funds which a dealer keeps in reserve as a guarantee to support open positions. At Alpari, each instrument is divided into a marginal group. Accordingly, the size of the margin is determined by which marginal group it belongs to, the amount of open positions and the account type. You can see which group a trading instrument belongs to by looking at the Contract Specifications.
